About the Inn and Innkeepers

Built in 1910, Argyle House was established as a Bed and Breakfast in 1985. We are within walking distance of the Town of Friday Harbor and ferry, yet our location ensures you the peace and quiet of a country setting. Our special touches and amenities help to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Soak your cares away in our large outdoor hot tub. The goldfish pond with fountain under the weeping willow tree offers a place for quiet contemplation. Our brick patio is the perfect place for picnics or relaxing in the sun. Our beautifully landscaped yards provide a variety of places to relax. Our quiet and comfortable living room is a great place to enjoy a cup of tea or catch up with your favorite novel. Feel free to peruse our book collection in the living room, or those that are in your room. Check out our DVD library, which you can play in the privacy of your room.

Innkeepers Jennifer Sereda and Art Smith purchased Argyle House in April 2008.  We have visited the San Juans for many years and we are proud to call Friday Harbor our new home.  After traveling around and living in many areas of the United States, we are enjoying raising our two children in the beautiful, natural setting of the San Juan Islands, and hosting people from around the world.
